Casa Dante

Casa Dante is one of two villas converted from two adjoining farm houses in perfect Tuscan style, it’s located inside the exclusive hamlet of San Donato in Perano Castle, between Gaiole in Chianti and Radda in Chianti, very close to the adorable little town Vertine and overlooks wonderful vineyards owned by Frescobaldi family.

After passing an automatic gate for the exclusive use of the residents of the Borgo, on the right we will find Casa Dante. Characterized by large arched windows.

Few steps in stone and we will find ourselves on the terrace with table complete with umbrella and chairs, for lunch or taste a good Chianti during the sunset  is perfect. The glass entrance door opens onto the well-equipped kitchen, here you will have oven, dishwasher, stove, microvawe, toaster, american coffe maker and the necessary utensils. On the right side the dining room with an extendable wooden table. In front of the living room, furnished with two sofas, one of which is a queen-size bed. The spaces are open and the light thanks to the large windows obtained from the vaults, are the masters together with the traditional terracotta floors and the ceilings with exposed beams.
Following the steps from the kitchen dining area you enter in a small hallway and find a bathroom with shower. Continuing these curved staircases, you will reach the first room and then the second, both with a wonderful view, with the option of a double or separate bed, bedside and a wardrobe. The stairs will then reach the last bathroom with a jacuzzi bath to proceed and end on the last floor dedicated to the laundry area equipped with a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.

No smoking villa. And Bbq is not allowed.

The large 8mtx15mt heated shared swimming pool is located in an elevated position about 150 meters from the villa with breathtaking views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. the paved pool area is furnished with sunbeds, chairs, tables, drink tables and umbrellas. The lower part of the pool measures m1. 1 and the deepest part mt. Always for the exclusive use of residents or guests changing rooms and bathrooms.
The pool is open from 1 May to 30 September.

History: This medieval village was born with the grouping of houses around the San Donato Church which once fortified joined a network of castles that can still be admired today. Surrounded by fertile agricultural lands, the castle became the country residence of a wealthy landowner. It was purchased in the 16th century by the Strozzi family, who were an influential Florentine family.
It remained the property of the Strozzi family for four centuries, until it was sold in 1967.
Casa Dante belonged to the group of buildings around the castle and served as a home for livestock.
In the 90s it was carefully restored, using natural materials with attention to the original features.
